Bellarine Railway (Queenscliff)

The Bellarine Railway is up and running again.

You board at Queenscliff station and then it’s a 45 minute ride that takes you to a mini station called Lakers Siding, where they fill up the engine with water and then change the direction. It’s all very interesting for kids and adults alike.

You ride past lots of waterfront houses and almost everyone and their dog is out to wave to you. The other side of the train is view to the bay, and beyond. It’s all very lovely.

There are 3 types of carriages, First class, Dining room and saloons. All are pretty cool, although the luxury seating of first class is hard to beat.

For 16 dollars, I think it’s a bargain.
